Agiliti Health, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Biomedical Technician Intern to join our team. As a Biomedical Technician Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, as well as develop your skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Job Summary:

The Biomedical Technician Intern will work closely with our experienced technicians to learn and develop the skills needed to perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair service on various medical equipment. You will also be responsible for completing all associated documentation and communication in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, including operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair service.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of medical equipment and its operation.
  • Assist in the completion of all associated documentation and communication, including reports and records.
  • Work closely with experienced technicians to learn and develop skills and knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year accredited biomedical program.
  • Recommendation from student's instructor.
  • Final year student with graduation date within 12 months.
  • Demonstrated competency to perform operational verification procedures, preventive maintenance, and repair service on various equipment.
  • Basic understanding of industry regulatory requirements and ISO standards.
  • Familiar with the setup and application of test equipment (electrical safety analyzer, digital multi-meter, patient simulator, etc.).
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical literature, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer skills, understanding of computer networks, and equipment interfacing.
  • Willing to travel periodically to support business.
  • Able to lift and/or push 75 pounds.
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
