Job Overview

Barnsco Texas is seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with our customers, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Expertise: Provide customers with detailed product specifications and answer their technical questions.
  • Quote Wizard: Prepare competitive quotes for both credit and cash customers.
  • Order Management: Input rebar fabrication orders and handle account needs for our Outside Sales Representatives.
  • Pricing Pro: Obtain and confirm prices and freight costs, ensuring our customers always get the best deal.
  • Product Availability: Verify product availability and status to keep our customers informed and satisfied.
  • Sales Transactions: Process customer sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Account Maintenance: Set up and manage cash customer accounts with precision.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate regularly with our inventory and purchasing teams to ensure we stock the right products.
  • Showroom Excellence: Keep our showroom neat and welcoming for customers.
  • Special Requests: Create special orders as needed and set up jobs and pricing.
  • Follow-Up: Ensure all open orders and returns are followed through diligently.
  • Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts as needed and provide feedback to the Customer Service Supervisor.
  • Tech Savvy: Master the relevant software tools needed to excel in this role.
  • Flexibility: Embrace additional duties as assigned by the Customer Service Supervisor or Branch Manager.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years in customer service; 1-3 years in sales preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook), and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication: Exceptional communicator, both in person and over the phone.
  • Bilingual Bonus: English/Spanish speakers preferred
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
