Controller (Hybrid) Job Description

Pikemann is seeking a highly skilled Controller (Hybrid) to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic insights to our leadership team.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and consolidate financial data to inform business decisions
  • Supervise accounting and finance departments to ensure efficient operations
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for financial operations, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Prepare and review financial statements, both internal and external
  • Ensure compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise requirements
  • Coordinate external auditor activities and manage regulatory reporting
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to company leaders to inform decision-making
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including procurement activities and financial controls
  • Assess and improve accounting procedures and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Evaluate and select accounting software solutions to optimize financial operations
  • Identify, develop, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance
Desired Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of accounting and finance experience, including oversight of Washington State Department of Transportation annual Indirect Cost Rate reporting and approval
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint and advanced Excel skills
  • Previous mentorship and team management experience
