We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities & Maintenance Specialist to join our team at The Clyde Hotel in Albuquerque, NM. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment for our employees and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain equipment daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly based on protocols
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and surrounding areas
  • Lubricate equipment as necessary and notify the Chief Engineer if equipment is not working to specifications
  • Clean and organize the engineering shop, including spare parts shelves
  • Maintain inventory of parts for routine maintenance and corrective efforts
  • Perform quality checks on final products to ensure machines are operating correctly
  • Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance, including electrical systems knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Work safely with high voltage and control voltage, and respond to breakdowns
  • Diagnose and repair machinery in accordance with manufacturer's specifications
  • Implement and develop a personal growth path to learn additional engineering and technical skills for career advancement
Requirements:
  • Maintain, service, and repair all models of commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, boilers, extractors, presses, stackers, and other machinery
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues, and rebuild pumps, valves, regulators as needed
  • Read and interpret technical operation and repair manuals
  • Establish an organized laundry inventory system for purchasing of all parts and materials
  • Provide technical training to the laundry team
  • Maintain a constant awareness of safety problems and report unsafe conditions and exposures to the Director of Operations
  • Must understand and adhere to all safety procedures
  • Follow directions and interact with others in a positive manner
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, boilers, and utility sources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more
  • Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 50+ pounds occasionally
