Survey Technician 4

The Survey Technician 4 plays a crucial role in assisting licensed survey professionals by executing a range of surveying activities, predominantly in outdoor settings and occasionally within an office environment. Key responsibilities encompass conducting topographic and boundary surveys, drafting legal descriptions, mapping, 3D scanning, and additional related tasks. The ideal candidate should possess a robust work ethic, exceptional organizational capabilities, and the ability to work independently on intricate survey assignments under the guidance of a licensed surveyor. A Survey Technician 4 is expected to exhibit comprehensive proficiency in surveying principles and demonstrate the capacity to swiftly acquire and implement new surveying techniques as required. Collaboration, technical acumen, and effective project execution are vital components of this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Proficiency in industry-specific software
  • Familiarity with field surveying instruments
  • Thorough understanding of technical fundamentals
  • Leads technical initiatives on smaller projects
  • Implements quality assurance for deliverables
  • Collaborative contributor on larger projects
  • Independently generates field data
Qualifications
  • Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Certifications in field surveying and office production are advantageous
Physical Requirements

The role may require occasional lifting and/or moving of items weighing up to 50 pounds. Candidates should be capable of traversing rugged terrain, including snow and ice, and must be prepared to work in remote locations.

Work Environment

The typical noise level in the work setting ranges from moderate to moderately loud, primarily due to the proximity of construction activities and associated equipment.

Compensation is adjusted based on geographical locations.
