Job Summary

Coffman Engineers, Inc. is seeking a skilled Corrosion Control Engineer to join our team in Anchorage. As a key member of our multi-discipline firm, you will be responsible for assisting with internal and external corrosion evaluations and monitoring, as well as performing cathodic protection surveys and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal and external corrosion evaluations and monitoring to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Perform cathodic protection surveys for various structures, including pipelines, docks, and other infrastructure.
  • Prepare and review API 570 and 653 inspection reports for technical accuracy.
  • Develop and implement corrosion prevention and control plans to ensure the integrity of our clients' assets.
  • Collaborate with our team of engineers and technicians to provide comprehensive solutions for corrosion-related issues.
Requirements
  • API 570 or API 653 certification preferred.
  • NACE CP2 or higher preferred.
  • Experience in oil and gas, DOD, and/or water/wastewater inspection corrosion control.
  • Ability to travel, perform field work, and work overtime as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that meets Coffman's stringent requirements.
  • Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) or eligibility to obtain a TWIC.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.
  • Competency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and database programs.
  • Exceptional organization, writing, communication, and project management skills.
