Position Overview:

The Clinical Support Technician II plays a vital role in the delivery of patient care within the Burn Center. This position is essential for supporting healthcare professionals in various tasks, including patient transport, room preparation, and clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Patient Care Assistance:**
- Support healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Assist in the direct care of patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Measure and document vital signs and other patient metrics.

2. **Clerical and Administrative Support:**
- Manage communication flow within the patient care unit.
- Perform various clerical tasks such as organizing workloads, greeting visitors, and maintaining medical records.
- Conduct quality assurance audits and inventory checks.

3. **Equipment and Supply Management:**
- Track and order supplies necessary for patient care.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.

4. **Collaboration with Healthcare Team:**
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physicians, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in the orientation of new staff and students.

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be listed as Nursing Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a clerical or customer service role is preferred, along with nursing assistant experience.

Work Schedule:

This position involves a commitment of 36 hours per week, with rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
