Job Summary:

As a Pre-Assessment Testing Nurse at USPI, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe transition of patients through the perioperative process. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, providing pre-operative instructions, and communicating effectively with the medical team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough pre-assessment interviews with patients to identify potential risks and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgeons to ensure patients receive optimal care and are prepared for surgery.
  • Participate in patient education and counseling to promote informed decision-making and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and USPI's quality standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Arizona
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on patient safety and quality care
