Position: HVAC Apprentice Technician - Data Center Focus: This role is designed to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for becoming a proficient Service Engineer. The primary focus will be on working within Data Centers, predominantly situated in the Northern Virginia region.


*Candidates who are Local 602 apprentice members but currently not employed by affiliated companies are encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver precise and timely service for HVAC equipment as instructed.
  • Conduct general maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems.
  • Maintain required skill levels.
  • Provide daily service tickets to Service Operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience and education.
  • Must possess at least one Apprentice license within MD, DC, VA, and obtain all three within six months of hire.
  • 1-5 years of experience in the HVAC industry is preferred.
  • Enrollment in trade school is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to safely operate a commercial van loaded with tools in busy traffic.
  • Frequent visits to various job sites are required.
  • Capability to climb ladders, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs regularly.
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors throughout all seasonal changes.
