Shift: Night Shift (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)

Eastern Area Juvenile Crisis and Assessment Center, a service of Methodist Home for Children, aims to provide comprehensive juvenile assessments in a residential setting. Our goal is to match youth between the ages of 10 and 17, specifically Level II offenders, with the most appropriate services in their communities. We are committed to supporting and empowering young individuals for a better future.

Role Overview:

As an Assessment Center Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in providing hands-on supervision and training to Youth Care Workers. This position involves overseeing the care provided to youth at the Assessment & Crisis Center, engaging them in assessment activities, and ensuring the safety and security of the physical property. Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train Youth Care Workers in providing care to youth residents
  • Implement direct care services in accordance with established protocols
  • Engage youth in assessment activities and therapeutic interventions
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the facility and its residents
  • Collaborate with team members to create and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide guidance and support to staff in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress and incidents
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • At least 21 years old
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Previous supervisory or staff management experience, preferably in a social services setting
  • Experience working with youth in a residential or therapeutic environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid NC driver's license and ability to pass required screenings and trainings
