Job Title: Collection Specialist

At Armstrong Receivable Management, we are seeking a highly skilled Collection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting outstanding balances, providing necessary documentation, coordinating resolution of disputed invoices, and escalating high-risk customer accounts when necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with businesses via the telephone and written correspondence to resolve outstanding balances and disputes.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to obtain reliable contact information and resolve claims.
  • Maintain high standards of account work as assigned by Management.
  • Negotiate claims' resolution with insurance carriers, attorneys, and responsible parties to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Establish agreements for lien releases and monthly payment contracts to ensure timely payments.
  • Prepare investigative correspondence and acquire background information as needed to support claims.
Requirements:
  • Exercise independent judgment and critical thinking to resolve complex claims and disputes.
  • Negotiate settlements and recover money from responsible parties in tort liability claims.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry, and strong computer skills, with Excel preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, goal-oriented, and ability to deescalate adverse situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Dependability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $16-18 per hour plus commission.
  • Minimal cost to employee for employee health care benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
