Summer Day Camp Counselor Position

KE Camps is seeking energetic and responsible individuals to join our team as Summer Day Camp Counselors at Laurel Creek Country Club in Mt. Laurel, NJ.

About the Job:

  • This is a full-time seasonal position that requires availability from June 23 through August 8.
  • You will work with a group of campers, providing a fun, safe, and exciting experience for them.
  • As a Counselor, you will participate in all camp activities, help with daily tasks, and assist the Camp Director with various responsibilities.
  • Our ideal candidate has prior experience working with children, excellent communication skills, and is able to sustain energy throughout a full day's worth of activities.
  • You will also have the opportunity to build relationships with fellow staff members, camp alumni, and create connections that can lead to future career opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a group of campers, providing a fun, safe, and exciting experience for them.
  • Cooperate with fellow Counselors and Camp Director to ensure a smooth and enjoyable camp experience.
  • Greet families and campers upon arrival and provide assistance as needed.
  • Support the Camp Director in establishing rules and emergency procedures with campers.
  • Participate in all camp activities and supervise daily swim time in a hands-on manner.
  • Help out where needed and lead activities when asked to by the Camp Director.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to sustain energy throughout a full day's worth of activities.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified before the summer begins.
