Job Summary

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Benefits Manager to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for administering various employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and providing exceptional service to our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Benefits Administration
    • Administer group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits
    • Conduct benefit orientations and open enrollment meetings
    • Supervise maintenance of enrollments and terminations into or out of the plan(s) through ADP
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Serve as the primary liaison with all insurance carriers on behalf of the company's employee plans and manages all billing, invoice review and reconciliation for payment
    • Works with internal Claims Department and claims analyst team closely
    • Leave administration and management
    • Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies
    • Experienced in COBRA
    • Manage benefit compliance
    • Ensures timeliness and accuracy of required 5500 filings and works with Department of Compliance to ensure that all other required benefit regulations are followed
  • Support and Collaboration
    • Serve as secondary backup for Payroll Manager
    • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, accounting, or similar field, preferred
  • 3-5 years experience with benefits administration
  • Extensive knowledge of ADP WFN HRIS, Payroll and, Time and Attendance
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing payroll and benefits (DOL, FLSA, ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, HHS, etc.)
