We are seeking a seasoned developer who is enthusiastic about enhancing productivity tools for Nintendo's software engineering teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Debugging embedded systems utilizing LLDB.
- Proficiently developing in C++ and scripting with Python.
- Understanding object file formats and the intricacies of compilers and linkers, alongside existing tools (ELF, DWARF, GDB Protocol, LLVM).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver complex engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Identify opportunities and potential risks proactively.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for fellow engineers.
- Engage in effective communication and collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Develop new features and protocols, conduct performance analysis, optimize systems, maintain existing software, and troubleshoot failures.
- Implement robust embedded software using contemporary C++ techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong programming, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in developing multithreaded software using C++ or C#.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, multithreaded programming, and operating system fundamentals.
- Motivated to explore game development tools and frameworks.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
- A valid passport may be necessary.
This position is based in Redmond, WA, and is not available for remote work.
