Your Responsibilities:
Direct the design and development of embedded software components in accordance with defined requirements and architecture.

Identify and spearhead the creation or enhancement of procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technologies as needed.

Make independent design tradeoff decisions while developing multiple system components.

Improve device connectivity by integrating and optimizing communication protocols.

Work closely with hardware and firmware teams to ensure seamless software integration.

Perform comprehensive testing, debugging, and verification of software to guarantee high reliability and performance.

Lead and guide the resolution of complex product design challenges.

Engage in technology exploration and influence its application within the organization.

Create and maintain thorough software documentation.

Generate and review essential documents with project teams (requirements/design/architecture/bugs/test).

Stay updated with industry advancements in embedded systems, connectivity, and cybersecurity.

Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards and best practices.

Develop multiple invention disclosures, patents, or trade secrets.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

6+ years of experience in application design/development.

Proficiency in C and C++ is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Exceptional verbal and written communication and documentation skills.

Strong ability to influence teams and individuals.

Knowledge of effective architectural design methodologies and patterns.

Excellent time management skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities.

Lead project software implementation utilizing programming skills in C, C++, STL, scripting, and xUnit.

Ability to lead strategies with tools for static/dynamic analysis, memory management, code coverage, and software analysis techniques.

Prior experience with a Real-time Operating System (RTOS).

Experience working on production software teams using an Agile development process.

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git or Perforce, and continuous integration solutions for building, packaging, analyzing, and testing software.

Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated sectors.

$129k - $212k salary plus bonus eligibility and benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is determined by skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
