Technical Program Manager, Cabin and Equipment Specialist

Joby Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to join our Vehicle Program Management team with a focus on Cabin and Equipment. This is a critical role that will play a key part in the development and certification of our electric air taxi.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Integrated Product Team (IPT) for Cabin and Equipment, responsible for the creation and execution of the high-level and detailed plans to achieve Type Certification.
- Work closely with the IPT to develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of aircraft systems.
- Directly support the IPT technical lead in resolving technical challenges and risks, and coordinate cost, schedule, and technical issue resolution.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to define scope of work, update system schedules, and identify variances from baseline records.
- Evaluate project schedule progress and performance, identifying developing problem areas and recommending work-arounds.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in new development engineering with responsibility for project coordination and management.
- Expertise in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- 10+ years of experience with aircraft Type Certification in an engineering environment.
- Experience with FAA certification processes.
- Experience with aircraft cabin interiors and seating.
- Basic knowledge of 2X.1309 analyses and processes, including Advisory Circular 23.1309-1E, SAE ARP 4761, and SAE ARP 4754A.
- Basic knowledge of FAA regulations and guidance material and industry standards.
Joby Aviation offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $146,900 - $195,800 per year, and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with a company match, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, and more.
