Job Description

Catalyx is seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to support a project in Indianapolis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PLC programming and laser marking technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement automation solutions for a manufacturing project.
  • Develop and maintain PLC programs for Allen Bradley and Keyence laser systems.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create software and hardware specifications.
  • Implement database updates and communication protocols between PLC, camera, and SQL database.
  • Develop and maintain operations manuals and technical documentation.
Requirements
  • Automation scope: Add new recipe field for expiry date, update PLC to present UDI to inspection camera, and implement new sequence code.
  • PLC programming: Develop programs for Allen Bradley and Keyence laser systems.
  • Laser marking: Implement laser marking technology for UDI marking.
  • Database updates: Update SQL database to include new columns in lot data.
  • Communication protocols: Establish communication between PLC, camera, and SQL database.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PLC programming and laser marking technology.
  • Knowledge of database management and communication protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
