- Ensure the bar is well-stocked and organized, managing inventory of spirits, mixers, and glassware effectively.
- Open and close the bar in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wines, beers, and spirits, and upsell menu items to enhance profitability.
- Accommodate special requests and dietary needs of guests.
- Handle transactions accurately, following company policies and procedures.
- Conduct end-of-shift cash balancing and tip calculations.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness in the bar area, including waste disposal and glassware cleaning.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations regarding alcohol service.
- Report any guest complaints or disruptive behavior to management.
- Conduct inventory checks and complete necessary paperwork during shifts.
- Notify management of any safety concerns or equipment maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of bartending experience, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, service standards, and guest relations.
- Comprehensive understanding of the menu and bar offerings.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent guest service.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Completion of TIPS certification and possession of a valid Food Handlers Card is required.
