CalAIM Nonprofit Administrative Support
Housing Matters is dedicated to assisting individuals and families in their journey from homelessness to stable housing. As a prominent organization in the fight against homelessness, we are seeking passionate individuals who are committed to our mission of ensuring that homelessness in Santa Cruz County is infrequent, brief, and not recurring.
The CalAIM Nonprofit Administrative Support role is essential in managing CalAIM operations, including eligibility assessments, service authorizations, documentation, and invoicing. Under the guidance of the Contract Analyst, this position plays a crucial role in supporting Housing Matters program staff to enhance and sustain CalAIM service utilization.
Work Hours and BenefitsThis position is full-time and non-exempt, offering eligibility for medical, dental, vision, 403b retirement plan, and a generous paid time off policy.
CompensationThe starting wage for the CalAIM Administrative Support position is competitive, with a range based on experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or a combination of education and experience that meets the requirements of the role.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in data processing within the medical or social services sector.
- Ability to comprehend complex and evolving policies and effectively communicate them to staff.
- Proficiency in navigating intricate workflows that involve multiple databases, portals, and spreadsheets.
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues, conduct research, and interpret data to make informed recommendations.
- Capacity to recognize when to seek guidance from supervisors or partner staff.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional phone etiquette.
- Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, spreadsheets, databases, and related software.
- Determine health plan eligibility.
- Process authorization requests for CalAIM services.
- Monitor CalAIM authorizations and provide guidance on necessary re-submissions.
- Analyze HMIS reports for enrollment and documentation tasks.
- Prepare and submit billing documentation.
- Access various data sources, including provider portals and HMIS databases.
- Submit claims for CalAIM services.
- Review, reconcile, and amend CalAIM claims as needed.
- Collaborate with Housing Matters program staff.
- Provide insights on denied claims and related processes to staff and health plan representatives.
- Evaluate the feasibility of CalAIM requirements and engage in coordination meetings with health plan partners.
