Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ICU RN to join our team at HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital. As a PRN ICU RN, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out physician orders and administer prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs.
  • Provide respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Instruct and educate patients and families.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Provide age and culturally appropriate care.
  • Orient and mentor new staff members.
  • Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Requirements
  • Current FL RN Licensure or recognized Compact Licensure.
  • Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider and ACLS.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • 1-3 years of ICU experience required.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.

We offer inpatient and outpatient services, and are licensed by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration as a Primary Stroke Center. We provide diagnostic services accredited by the American College of Radiology, and our Hospital's surgical services include minimally invasive procedures.
