We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital. As a PRN ICU RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Carry out physician orders and administer prescribed medications, changes dressings, and cleans wounds.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, providing respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring as needed.
- Coordinate patient care with other healthcare disciplines, ensuring well-coordinated and effective treatment plans.
- Communicate patient condition to healthcare team members and families, utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Instruct and educate patients and families on care and treatment plans.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care, orienting and mentoring new staff members as needed.
- Current FL RN Licensure or recognized Compact Licensure.
- Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider and ACLS.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- 1-3 years of ICU experience required.
HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility in Okeechobee County, offering inpatient and outpatient services. We are licensed by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration as a Primary Stroke Center and provide diagnostic services accredited by the American College of Radiology. Our Hospital's surgical services include minimally invasive procedures, and we are seeking dedicated professionals to join our healthcare team.
