Job Summary

The Director of Engagement Strategy, VP is a seasoned professional who excels at acquiring and growing accounts through successful engagement strategy projects. They possess a deep understanding of engagement strategy deliverables and can effectively direct the process on accounts, as well as new business pitches. This individual has a proven track record of collaborating with internal team members, including brand planning, account, media, analytics, creative, and project management, as well as presenting to clients.

As a leader within the department and a rising leader within the agency, they consistently influence others on their team to make decisions that benefit the brand, department, and agency. They advocate for the department cross-functionally with other departments and manage and mentor direct and indirect reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee entire assigned accounts, ensuring the quality of strategic and creative products produced by the team.
  • Manage junior-level engagement strategists and provide career development opportunities.
  • Interface independently with senior clients and Account leadership on in-line brands as well as new business opportunities.
  • Develop and present engagement strategy deliverables during new business pitches.
  • Maintain positive collaborative relationships with account management, strategic planning, media, creative counterparts, and senior marketing clients.
  • Ability to synthesize insights into actionable plans to drive brand goals.
  • Marries strategic and creative aptitude to create meaningful, memorable, and impactful engagement strategies for the health/wellness space.
  • Provides insights into the value and limitations of both on and offline channels.
  • Evangelizes engagement strategy's value and directs accounts on engagement opportunities.
Requirements
  • 9+ years of experience in engagement strategy or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to independently run workshops in Zoom, Stormz, Miro, and/or other online collaboration platforms.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence others across all agencies.
  • Ability to prioritize and be flexible to balance shifting responsibilities and manage junior staff.
