Key Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnostic and Repair: Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain and repair tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Documentation: Accurately document all work performed, including maintenance and repairs.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in medium/heavy duty truck repair preferred.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications: ASE certifications in automotive or medium/heavy duty trucks; 609 HVAC certification.
- Skills: Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods. The work environment is fast-paced and may involve working in confined spaces.
