Role Summary:
- Develops effective solutions for production challenges related to manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with aircraft specifications and cost parameters.
- Provides support for detail parts manufacturing and assembly operations, conducts root cause analysis, and implements corrective measures.
- Creates and maintains documentation and procedures to fulfill customer and regulatory standards, addressing issues related to materials, processes, and tooling.
- Interprets engineering drawings, facilitating communication between design engineering, tooling, machine shop, quality assurance, and production teams, while analyzing statistical data such as process capability and throughput rates.
- Offers technical support, enhances manufacturing operations, and ensures adherence to HACI standards.
- Additional responsibilities include preparing and updating production planning, assisting with BOM identification and management, and overseeing tooling requests and discrepancy reports.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
- Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the aerospace industry is required.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in SAP, CAD/CAM, CATIA, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with nonconformance resolution, resource optimization, and efficiency enhancements.
- Ability to create and revise planning and routings, assess process improvements, and ensure engineering configuration accuracy through MBOM transactions.
