Job Summary:
Tesla Motors is seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager to lead the development of our next-generation seating platforms. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the entire product development process, from concept to mass production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and track multiple design iterations with CAE and Manufacturing teams for design validation
- Coordinate and manage prototype development, schedule, and builds with other engineering program leaders
- Establish and track physical design validation targets and test cases for new product introduction
- Define and implement program requirements from concept to mass production and sustaining
- Derive workflows, timelines, communications, risks, and mitigation plans
- Define critical paths and issues for the launch and validation of new seating systems and components
- Work cross-functionally with Design Studio, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, NPI, Production, and Service to establish new program cadence
- Drive expediting discussions, engineering changes, and their impact on cost and timing with supplier project managers
- Drive continuous and efficient communication with other EPMs, PMI TPMs, and Vehicle PMO
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in automotive program management with successful model launch(es)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams
