Job Summary

Community Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and passionate candidate to fill the role of Client Engagement Specialist, for our Day Reporting Center located in Santa Maria, CA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Supervision: Supervise and actively participate in community service projects with clients at each work site.
  • Role Modeling: Serve as a role model to clients modeling pro-social behaviors.
  • Ratio Management: Maintain a ratio of one (1) staff to eighteen (18) clients.
  • Documentation: Document community service hours performed by each client in the agency data collection system(s) on the day the work is performed.
  • Statewide Projects: Participate in mandatory Statewide Projects. This may involve extended hours or an extended work week.
  • Equipment Management: Directly supervise safe handling of tools and other related equipment.
  • Community Service Coordination: Create and maintain a calendar of scheduled community service projects on the client bulletin boards monthly.
  • Transportation and Emergency Response: Coordinate transportation, meals, and emergency situation responses at community service sites in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
  • Project Development: Identify and develop new community service projects.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of all community service equipment. Make recommendations for replacement of damaged equipment.
  • Assessment and Compliance: Assess transportation and equipment needs at the request of the supervisor. Conduct weekly safety and sanitation inspections of all internal and external areas of the facility. Maintain client files and ensure compliance with Agency policy regarding confidential information.
  • Knowledge and Compliance: Maintain a working knowledge of and abide by the Agency's programs, policies, procedures, and code of ethics. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma and three years' experience working in trades, with public and/or people in need.
  • Judgment and Decision Making: Possess sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Good oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Driver's License and Public Service License: Possession of a valid driver's license, clear MV record. A valid Public Service License is required for driving Agency vehicles.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office.
