Position Overview
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistently exceptional, friendly, and proactive service to guests while collaborating with fellow team members.
- Ensure the production of high-quality culinary offerings.
- Oversee Daily Production Sheets and review Event Orders daily for the designated outlet.
- Engage in training junior culinary staff to enhance their skills.
- Develop and adhere to standardized recipes and specifications to maintain quality and consistency.
- Foster teamwork between kitchen staff and colleagues from other departments.
- Minimize overproduction and food waste while ensuring proper food rotation, labeling, and storage to control costs.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of all food items for a la carte and buffet menus in accordance with hotel standards.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions during daily shift briefings.
- Maintain proper product rotation in all storage areas to reduce waste, following FIFO guidelines while holding a valid Food Handlers Certificate.
- Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of storeroom requisitions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all workspaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of all banquet menu offerings.
- Adhere to kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols when handling food and beverages.
- Ensure all team members are working effectively and efficiently while enhancing employee morale and relations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Kitchen Managers.
- Compensation: $36.18 USD gross per hour.
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory kitchen experience in a similar-sized establishment is required.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Highly responsible and dependable.
- Ability to make informed decisions with the best interests of the hotel and departments in mind.
- Capable of thriving under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, building relationships with colleagues.
- Focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- Adaptability to the demands of colleagues and guests under pressure.
- Experience in a supervisory kitchen role is essential.
Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
