Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver consistently exceptional, friendly, and proactive service to guests while collaborating with fellow team members.
  • Ensure the production of high-quality culinary offerings.
  • Oversee Daily Production Sheets and review Event Orders daily for the designated outlet.
  • Engage in training junior culinary staff to enhance their skills.
  • Develop and adhere to standardized recipes and specifications to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Foster teamwork between kitchen staff and colleagues from other departments.
  • Minimize overproduction and food waste while ensuring proper food rotation, labeling, and storage to control costs.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of all food items for a la carte and buffet menus in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions during daily shift briefings.
  • Maintain proper product rotation in all storage areas to reduce waste, following FIFO guidelines while holding a valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of storeroom requisitions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all workspaces, utensils, and equipment.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all banquet menu offerings.
  • Adhere to kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation protocols when handling food and beverages.
  • Ensure all team members are working effectively and efficiently while enhancing employee morale and relations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Kitchen Managers.
  • Compensation: $36.18 USD gross per hour.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory kitchen experience in a similar-sized establishment is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly responsible and dependable.
  • Ability to make informed decisions with the best interests of the hotel and departments in mind.
  • Capable of thriving under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, building relationships with colleagues.
  • Focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • Adaptability to the demands of colleagues and guests under pressure.
  • Experience in a supervisory kitchen role is essential.
