About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nutrition Assistant to join our team at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, a 197-bed non-profit facility providing quality healthcare to patients and communities in and around Gilbert, Arizona.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nutritious food to patients, families, visitors, and staff to promote their health and healing.
  • Monitor and maintain food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes.
  • Collaborate with facility staff to ensure optimal nutritional care in all healthcare food service operations.
  • Exhibit high degree knowledge in food preparation and food production.
  • Accurately portion meals and beverages, considering dietary restrictions and presentation.
  • Support team members in all areas of food services, including cashier, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, and food storage.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire.
