Nutrition Services Lead Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Services Lead to join our team at Northern Arizona Healthcare Corporation. As a key member of our nutrition services team, you will be responsible for collaborating with nutrition staff and hospital staff to provide optimal care and wellness to patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Clinical Nutrition Services Manager in the diet office and kitchen
  • Support Nutrition Aides, Cooks, and Nutrition Assistants by preparing food for patients, visitors, and staff
  • Ensure food production is of high quality and all foods are prepared, cooked, and served in accordance with specified recipes and procedures
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training new staff, scheduling employees, and coaching and supervising staff
  • Modify and build the electronic patient menu system and take room service meal orders in the call center following dietary guidelines and protocols
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • VVMC Nutrition Services: Yavapai County Health Department Food Handler certificate within 30 days of hire
  • Dietary Managers Certificate (CDM) or Registered Diet Technician (RDT) preferred
  • Previous healthcare food service/nutrition experience preferred
  • Previous experience as a diet technician or dietary manager preferred
  • Previous supervisor experience preferred
  • Previous experience with diet office software preferred
