Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Food Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our quality and food safety team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the development, compliance, and certification of food safety plans and programs. You'll work closely with our Quality, Operations, and Sanitation teams to implement best practices and identify food safety risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain food safety plans and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate food safety risks.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to food safety standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to plant employees on food safety procedures and best practices.
  • Manage facility inspections, traceability, testing, vendor auditing, and microbial program compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field.
  • Substantial experience in quality and food safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • HACCP certification and SQF Practitioner and PCQI certification.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable regulations, including GMP and food safety standards.
  • Excellent auditing and assessment skills, with strong technical and software knowledge.
  • Strong people and process management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
