This is a full-time opportunity with various shifts available. The compensation for this role ranges from $17 to $19 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for advancement.
This position begins as a contract role, with the potential for permanent employment based on individual performance. Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving and managing biological sample shipments.
- Maintaining the specimen freezer archive and ensuring proper specimen management.
- Assessing the acceptability of specimens for testing based on established criteria.
- Executing routine technical procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting laboratory instruments to ensure optimal functionality.
- Making informed technical decisions related to testing and problem-solving.
- Conducting preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Restocking testing bench supplies as necessary.
- Assisting with specimen processing when required.
- Upholding a safe working environment and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Previous experience in a laboratory, medical, or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
