Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Stony Brook Medicine. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in the operating room.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
