The Logistics Operations Supervisor is tasked with the direct oversight of the Route Service Representative (RSR) team assigned to their facility.

This encompasses training, staffing, and daily management of the RSR personnel. Strong leadership and coaching skills, along with effective problem-solving abilities and a dedication to teamwork, are essential for success in this position. Furthermore, a polished, professional appearance, enthusiasm, and a customer-centric approach are mandatory.

HERE'S A GLIMPSE OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service
Daily coordination of deliveries and fleet operations for the designated location within a direct store delivery framework.

Assigning and overseeing driver personnel with an emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance while striving to achieve delivery efficiency targets and surpass customer service expectations.

Facilitate proof of delivery protocols established by clients and/or the company, ensuring adherence.
Daily route reconciliation.
Address any customer complaints or inquiries in a timely and appropriate manner.
Handle challenging customer interactions with professionalism.
Communicate and implement planned promotional activities in accounts.

Effectively relay all product requirements by utilizing the order management system; specifically, adjustments due to weather, demand fluctuations, promotional events, etc., on a daily basis or as business needs dictate.

Conduct audits of accounts for product assortment, inventory levels, product quality, and feedback from store staff regarding driver performance.
Supervision
Conduct both formal and informal performance evaluations of RSRs with a focus on Safety, Customer Service, and Efficiency, detailing:

Develop action plans to meet goals or address areas for improvement.
Maintain a schedule of 'ride-alongs' to assess driver performance.
Monitor daily route progress.
Verify route returns against settlement sheets.

Ensure all roles are sufficiently staffed for daily operations and/or fulfill duties of any vacant department position as required by business needs.

Training
Instruct RSRs in the operation of handheld devices.
Coach RSRs on accurately completing customer orders.
Train RSRs on conducting inventory reconciliation for specific customers.
Guide RSRs in professional and appropriate customer interactions.

Instruct RSRs on maintaining cleanliness and overall presentation of in-store displays, as well as correct product placement according to established planograms.

Train drivers on product quality standards and the removal of expired products.
Safety and Sanitation
Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations.
Train drivers in safe driving techniques and proper vehicle upkeep.
Utilize the Vehicle Inspection and Damage Report Form for routine maintenance checks as necessary.
Report any vehicle maintenance issues to the District Manager, CPG Operations.
Promptly investigate and document any vehicle accidents or employee injuries.
Leadership
Foster a culture of teamwork among colleagues.
Maintain a respectful and courteous demeanor with both employees and customers.
Collaborate with management to enhance performance and implement new initiatives.
Exercise sound judgment and avoid unnecessary risks while operating a company vehicle.
Other duties as assigned.

Must meet company driving standards.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Willingness to travel up to 10% for training or coverage.
Previous experience in route sales or delivery preferred.
Previous job stability preferred.
