Job Overview:

We are looking for a proficient and meticulous Large Format Printing Specialist to become a vital part of our innovative team at Southeastern Printing. The successful candidate will be tasked with the operation and upkeep of wide format printing machinery to deliver exceptional prints and graphics. The Wide Format Production Operator will work closely with our design and production teams to guarantee prompt and precise project completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
  • Exhibit a quality-focused mindset
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace
  • Prepare files for printing processes
  • Operate and service large format printers to maximize output capabilities
  • Consistently produce work that meets or surpasses specified standards
  • Collaborate with maintenance and other wide format personnel to ensure optimal machine performance
  • Apply printed graphics to various materials
  • Assess output quality and make necessary adjustments
  • Troubleshoot issues during job submission or printing phases
  • Understand and implement custom finishing specifications
  • Effectively operate CNC cutters, Fotoba roller cutters, and other finishing tools
  • Execute custom hand finishing techniques with precision
  • Complete hardware installations and customer banner finishes
  • Ensure thorough understanding of job ticket specifications before commencing work
  • Perform tasks according to job ticket requirements
  • Demonstrate good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Possess basic mathematical abilities
  • Read and interpret measurements accurately
  • Monitor and manage material usage within allocated limits
  • Be proficient in computer operations
  • Accurately record time, material usage, and location movements in the management information system
Qualifications

Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with printing substrates and their properties
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and organized
  • High mechanical aptitude
  • Understanding of materials and equipment used in printing, binding, and finishing
Technical Skills:
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fraction/decimal conversions)
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and light power equipment
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for printing presses
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in large format digital print operations.
