Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Mercy Health System. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare providers, including scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Assist with clinical procedures, such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and collecting lab samples.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
  • Medication injection training and pharmacology competency required.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting, with frequent exposure to patients and healthcare team members. Manual dexterity and ability to lift and transfer patients are essential.
