Job SummaryAs a Shipping and Receiving Clerk at The Ohio Art Company, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and shipping processes. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
  • Unload trucks, containers, or palettes, and inspect for any damage or discrepancies.
  • Update inventory records to reflect received shipments and ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery to customers by properly picking, packing, and labeling products correctly with shipping information and tracking numbers.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving information, including receipts, invoices, packing slips, and other shipping documents.
  • Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to coordinate efficient shipping and receiving activities, resolving any issues or discrepancies.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to create a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience with shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations, with at least 2-3 years of experience or similar role.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
