Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assessment Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and coordinating the development and completion of the resident assessment (MDS) in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an ongoing quality assurance program for resident assessment/care plan.
  • Assist in completion of the discharge portion of the care plan.
  • Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
  • Develop preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.
  • Ensure that appropriate health professionals are involved in the assessment.
  • Audit documentation for standard of practice.
  • Audit the resident assessment (MDS) and care plan for completeness, accuracy, and comprehensiveness.
  • Audit the CMI for accuracy.

Requirements

Must have 2 years MDS experience.
