Process Burner Applications Engineer

The Process Burner Applications Engineer will concentrate on delivering technical assistance and sales support across the EMEA region. This role encompasses developing application solutions, crafting proposals, providing technical support (both in-office and customer-facing), and facilitating process burner sales.

The successful candidate will interact directly with end users regarding revamp and retrofit inquiries, while also collaborating with EPCs as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop application solutions leading to proposal generation for revamps, retrofits, capital projects, and aftermarket services. This includes analyzing requirements and understanding technical capabilities to create precise and detailed proposals that meet customer expectations.
  • Prepare cost estimates aligned with market-driven sales strategies.
  • Provide technical support to end users, including face-to-face interactions at customer sites.
  • Work closely with the projects team to ensure optimal project execution.
  • Engage with the Process Burner and Design teams to gain insights into both new product development and existing technologies.
  • Maintain commercial awareness to enhance proposal effectiveness.
  • Travel to customer facilities for presentations, discussions, and negotiations.
  • Respond to inquiries from Zeeco's customers and internal product groups, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Establish relationships with complementary suppliers and service providers to support customers and expand Zeeco's business through strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure Zeeco is included on vendor lists for relevant projects.
  • Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that align with the candidate's skills and expertise.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical business development.
  • International customer engagement experience with a willingness to travel intermittently.
  • Strong background in plant operations, petrochemical, and/or refinery environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with confidence in communication.
  • Strong technical sales and negotiation capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
  • Resourceful, organized, reliable, efficient, and detail-oriented.
  • Able to take initiative and make independent decisions while maintaining attention to detail.

The ideal candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the office, possess a valid driver's license, and have access to reliable transportation.
