Therapist - In-Home and Office Setting

About the Job:
This is a unique opportunity to work in a hybrid role, providing in-home and in-office services to clients. As a Therapist, you will be responsible for providing direct service to children, adolescents, and families, identifying and intervening with the needs of abused and neglected children and adults.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provides direct service to children, adolescents, and families
* Identifies and intervenes with the needs of abused and neglected children and adults
* Completes intake and assessment, providing complete and accurate information necessary for treatment and billing
* Designs and implements treatment plans that promote healthy attachment, self-regulation, independence, impulse-control, decision-making skills, and social responsibility/empathy
* Works collaboratively with other team members who are supporting the clients, including education, care managers, behavioral assistants, clinicians, physicians, etc.
* Provides telephone counseling for emergencies both during office hours and outside of office hours for clients
* Attends monthly staff meetings
Requirements:
* Must possess a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field
* Must hold valid, current NJ license (LCSW, LPC, LSW, LMFT, LAC)
* Two or more years experience in counseling children
* Three or more years experience in mental health
* Experience in providing treatment to individuals with serious emotional problems
* Ability to effectively use DSM V
* Must possess a driver's license and access to reliable transportation (vehicle must be documented by the agency to be insured and registered)
* Ability to make sound clinical judgments and to follow and give complex directions
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Special Consideration:
* Candidates with an understanding of child development, as well as individual and family functioning
* Candidates with experience in providing child abuse treatment
* Candidates with background and experience in expressive/art therapy, and/or play therapy (filial, therapy, child-centered, PCIT, MIM relationship assessment, DIR Floor time, TFCBT, PCRT, ACT, Exosystemic)
* Candidates who are bilingual
