Position Overview:
Are you skilled at foreseeing challenges and opportunities? Do you possess the ability to devise innovative solutions while fostering strong customer relationships? Mortenson is in search of a seasoned Electrical Superintendent to join our Energy Storage Group. This role requires effective interaction with diverse teams in a dynamic setting, showcasing flexibility, resourcefulness, enthusiasm, and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities:
As a superintendent, your primary duties will encompass:

  • Providing leadership and oversight to assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities.
  • Ensuring all materials, equipment, and inspections align with project timelines.
  • Reviewing construction documents for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Coordinating with design engineers to resolve discrepancies in plans and specifications.
  • Participating in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead plans.
  • Creating and implementing site logistics plans.
  • Utilizing Mortenson's tools and equipment effectively.
  • Collaborating with project partner superintendents.
  • Conducting project orientations and effective pre-construction planning sessions.
  • Supervising project partners, craft foremen, and crews.
  • Mentoring and evaluating the performance of Assistant Superintendents and other team members.
  • Managing work progress and craft productivity.
  • Ensuring safety, quality, risk, and compliance management throughout the project.


Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of eight years of construction experience, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience with large utility projects is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Utilities and Energy Storage sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with inverter and DC battery technology is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of construction law and business practices.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A positive, professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.


Education:
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent trade experience is required.
