This role offers a Hybrid work schedule based out of our Plymouth MN location.
Compensation: The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $ $ a year. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline only, as actual salaries depend on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
The Energy Solutions Specialist will serve as an expert in EESS demand response products, providing services to optimize customer solutions. Primary responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing tailored solutions for clients.
- Conducting training sessions for customers.
- Advising clients on strategies to align with their business objectives.
In this capacity, you will acquire comprehensive technical knowledge of Demand Response hardware and software solutions, enabling you to independently address customer concerns and assist in testing specific issues. This includes managing a fully operational demand response system for utilities that subscribe to this service level.
As a subject matter expert, you will support the Professional Services team during product implementation, guide clients on grid automation strategies, and ensure optimal utilization of product features to enhance customer value. You will validate solutions with a commitment to zero defects and train customers on the installation, operation, and maintenance of Eaton Demand Response solutions.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential for resolving complex challenges while maintaining clear communication with customers through various channels. Continuous learning will be prioritized to deepen your understanding of Demand Response features and limitations, and you will contribute to the development of knowledge base articles. Lastly, you will be responsible for achieving key performance indicator (KPI) targets.
Qualifications for Success:
To excel in this role, you should possess a solid understanding of energy automation solutions, particularly in the demand response sector, and be familiar with client/server infrastructure, internet systems architecture, and technology integration. This foundational knowledge will enable you to apply business analysis methods and utilize relevant tools effectively.
Your proven skills should include:
- Troubleshooting complex issues both independently and collaboratively.
- Effectively communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Managing customer deliveries amidst competing priorities.
- Training others on technical subjects.
Additionally, you must maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license and be open to traveling up to 25% for onsite services and support. Familiarity with Utility Demand Response equipment and practices, knowledge of Utility Business processes, experience in measurement and verification for Utility Demand Response Programs, and proficiency in software tools (e.g., CRM, ITSM) and service management practices (e.g., DevOps, ITIL) are preferred.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering, marketing, or technical support related to advanced metering infrastructure, demand response, distribution automation, and/or substation automation technologies.
- Willingness to travel 25%.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with demand response technologies.
