The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as a Territory Sales Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for securing new accounts and maintaining existing customer relationships in a specific geographic territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect for and win new customers to increase the customer base
  • Retain and grow sales/profitability with existing customers
  • Assess and validate customer needs and goals on an ongoing basis
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision makers at all levels within an account
  • Use internet, trade shows, and company-generated leads to source for new accounts
  • Maintain high activity levels and review with management as required
  • Develop and present sales proposals, aligned to customer needs and goals
  • Develop and maintain detailed customer plans with existing and prospective key accounts
  • Maintain high levels of professional internal and external communication
  • Represent the company in a professional manner, including adhering to regulations, company policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with other Applied Product functional areas (Marketing, Purchasing, Customer Service)
  • Some overnight travel required, depending on specific territory needs
Requirements
  • 4-year Bachelor degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience
  • Intellectual curiosity, problem-solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presenting, negotiating, and interpersonal skills
  • Equipment sales experience is a plus
  • CRM/Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) is required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
