Key Responsibilities:

As a Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will oversee the coordination of production activities through a dedicated team of supervisors. Your role will involve:
  • Fostering a culture of safety and positivity within the workplace.
  • Leading and managing the efforts of supervisors and a large workforce in the production of material handling equipment.
  • Facilitating communication and operations across various departments through effective shop supervision.
  • Managing work schedules, task assignments, and production sequences to achieve quality and output objectives.
  • Monitoring production processes to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Providing training for supervisors in safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Conducting performance assessments for supervisors, focusing on both corrective and developmental feedback.
  • Addressing employee issues and collaborating with relevant personnel to find solutions.
  • Interpreting technical specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation such as charts, work orders, and production schedules to evaluate production needs and outputs.
  • Keeping accurate records of operations data, including time, production, and costs, and preparing management reports.
  • Establishing production standards and goals based on company policies and resource availability.
  • Collaborating with management and staff to resolve employee concerns and grievances.
  • Implementing strategies to enhance employee motivation and improve production efficiency and quality.
  • Making recommendations regarding personnel actions, including hiring and promotions.
  • Calculating labor and equipment needs as well as production specifications using established formulas.

  • Skilled in delegation.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Knowledge of proper equipment and material usage.
  • Ability to identify and rectify safety hazards.
  • Understanding of complex technical topics.
  • Accountability for actions and decisions.
  • Ability to make critical decisions following company procedures.
  • Proficient in computer applications within a Windows environment.
