About the Role

Lori's Gifts is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Part-Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our store by providing exceptional customer service, driving sales momentum, and maintaining a high level of merchandising standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers and actively listen to their needs, ensuring a positive and personalized shopping experience.
  • Merchandising and Inventory Management: Ensure inventory levels are stocked on the sales floor and communicate needs to management for ordering, maintaining a visually appealing and well-stocked store environment.
  • Sales and Marketing: Market merchandise by adhering to advertising, sales promotion, and display plans, driving sales momentum and increasing revenue.
  • Operational Efficiency: Execute daily operational procedures with efficiency, diligence, and integrity, ensuring a smooth and seamless customer experience.
  • Policies and Procedures: Communicate, execute, and implement Lori's Gifts policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of compliance and adherence.
  • Cash Handling and Point-of-Sale Operations: Handle cash and credit card transactions utilizing a point-of-sale (POS) system, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required; College degree preferred.
  • Experience: One year of work experience, preferably in retail, restaurant, or customer service; significant volunteer, service, or related work experience will also be considered.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, management, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours to include evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and capable to stand for long periods of time.
  • Previous Experience: Previous specialty or big box experience ideal.
