Certified Work Incentive Coordinator

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is seeking a highly skilled Certified Work Incentive Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert guidance and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them navigate the complexities of Social Security benefits and employment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide benefits counseling and direct service to beneficiaries, families, and representative payees.
- Enter data and case notes into data systems within set deadlines.
- Collaborate with beneficiaries, agencies, and support team members to ensure seamless support.
- Explain the effects of employment and self-employment income on SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare, and other public benefit programs.
- Assist beneficiaries in understanding how to request and utilize work incentives.
- Prepare detailed, written Benefits Summary and Analysis to outline how employment will impact benefits.
- Act as a liaison between the Social Security Administration and beneficiaries as needed.
- High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Disability Studies, or a closely related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or mental illness is a plus.
- Current Community Work Incentive Coordinator certification from Virginia Commonwealth University is preferred.
- Must be able to complete and maintain necessary security clearance.
- Outstanding oral and written communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Must maintain participant confidentiality and adhere to the Certified Rehabilitation Counselors' Code of Ethics.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with insurance and an acceptable driving record are required.
