Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for ensuring a seamless patient registration experience. This role involves verifying patient identity, reviewing schedules and physician orders, and scanning important documents. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identity and select the correct patient record
  • Review schedules and physician orders to register patients for the appropriate service
  • Scan important documents, such as insurance cards and ID's
  • Enter patient demographic and insurance information into the electronic health record
  • Explain and complete complex regulatory and compliance documents
  • Collect co-payments, deposits, and outstanding balances
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Two years of customer service and/or data entry experience
  • Knowledge of third-party payers, ICD-9/CPT coding, and medical terminology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Proficiency in computer keyboarding skills
