Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide direct support to Code 34 Imaging and Electronic Warfare (I&EW) Team, responsible for fabrication, manufacture, testing, installation, and maintenance of I&EW Sensors and Antenna Shipsets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and assembly of complex I&EW systems
  • Test sub-assemblies and completed systems, collect technical data, and analyze for conformance to specifications
  • Conduct receipt inspections, determine serviceability of Fleet-returned assets, and perform electrical and mechanical inspections
  • Conduct Quality Assurance Inspections on new and repaired assemblies as required by directives
  • Assist in the development of Test Procedures and provide technical recommendations

Requirements:

  • Technical School Diploma and two years' experience related to the tasks, or a minimum of 6 years active-duty submarine combat system experience
  • Strong attention to detail, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with electronic testing procedures and Standard Test equipment
  • Ability to learn and apply techniques quickly, develop innovative technical solutions, and work independently or as part of a team
  • Documented completion of soldering and/or fiber-optic termination/connectorization/certification/training
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Additional Skills:

  • Active DoD Security clearance
  • Understanding of DoD engineering design practices
  • Knowledge of EW systems and technology, specifically AN/BLQ-10
  • Experience in VISIO or similar engineering-oriented documentation applications
