Compensation Range
$70,000 - $87,000
Key Responsibilities
Food Assistance Programs and Logistics (60%)
- Collaborate with the Food Bank and Warehouse Managers, as well as Delivery and Offsite Managers, to meet annual operational targets while fostering efficiency and innovation in program development aligned with the organization's strategic vision.
- Lead the formulation of an annual operational plan that supports the strategic goals of the organization.
- Oversee procurement operations and manage the allocation of materials and resources.
- Enhance customer service processes to improve client satisfaction.
- Analyze financial data and adjust operational budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Revise and implement policies to promote operational excellence.
- Manage partnerships and agreements with external stakeholders.
- Assess overall performance through data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Volunteer Coordination (20%)
- Partner with the Volunteer Coordinator to engage volunteers creatively, ensuring their integral role in the Foundation's mission.
- Oversee the development of training programs to enhance volunteer skills and safety, and implement strategies to improve volunteer retention.
- Ensure volunteer initiatives effectively engage diverse communities within the service area.
- Provide strong leadership across operational departments, promoting core values, a positive work culture, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Commit to diversity, equity, and inclusion through ongoing development and proactive management of biases.
- Supervise the Foundation's safety initiatives.
- Act as a representative for the CEO in their absence.
Team Leadership (20%)
Reporting Structure
- Direct reports include: Food Bank Managers, Volunteer Coordinator, Delivery/Logistics Manager, Warehouse Manager, Procurement Specialist, and Farm to Full Bellies Manager.
- Reports to the President/CEO.
- Member of the Executive Management Team.
Qualifications

- Demonstrated success in operational management and staff motivation.

- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office and various business software (e.g., ERP, CRM).
- Knowledge of data analysis and operational performance metrics.
- Comprehensive understanding of diverse business functions (e.g., supply chain, finance, customer service).
- Familiarity with industry regulations and legal standards.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership capabilities.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Director of Operations role or similar position.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule
Standard work week is Monday to Friday, with flexibility for occasional meetings and events on weekends.

Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to use a computer and communicate effectively. The position involves assisting in food bank operations, which may include physical tasks such as reaching and lifting.
Work Environment
