Overview:

At CarMax, we provide a comprehensive four-month training program tailored for all new managers, ensuring they are well-prepared for their responsibilities. The Front-Line Manager in Training program is meticulously crafted to furnish aspiring managers with essential skills and knowledge to excel in the Service Operations sector. Successful completion of this training is mandatory prior to taking on the role of a Front-Line Manager.

Training Components:

  • Understanding roles and responsibilities within Service Operations
  • Mastering production processes, including inventory oversight and repair management
  • Developing management capabilities through CarMax's Management Development Program

Upon finishing the Front-Line Manager in Training Program, individuals may advance to positions such as Flow Mechanical Manager, Flow Cosmetic Manager, Inventory Manager, or Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit knowledge and skills acquired during the training
  • Assist in the implementation of store procedures
  • Complete the Management Development Program successfully

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: 3+ years of managerial experience
  • Strong team leadership abilities
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills with both customers and team members
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License

Work Environment:

  • Combination of indoor and outdoor settings
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended durations
  • Flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Compliance with company policies and regulations is essential
  • Adherence to CarMax dress code during working hours
