Job Description and Duties

The incumbent serves as the primary contact between the Department of Finance and one or more departments, developing expert fiscal and program knowledge in assigned areas. They identify policy and program issues that require analysis and work with departments to prepare the Governor's Budget. The incumbent advises the Director of Finance and the Governor's Office on program budget decisions and proposed legislation, with final authority to approve financial documents. They conduct program analysis projects using various techniques to evaluate program effectiveness and alternatives, serving as a resource person in assigned areas to assist other staff. The incumbent also monitors program implementation.

Special Requirements

Virtual interviews may be conducted via web portals or phone as deemed appropriate and feasible. The Department of Finance operates a hybrid telework model, requiring employees to work in the office a minimum of two days during the workweek.
